Self Study Week 2
Here is my basic character model made in blender and animated in blender!
The process was basically as follows:
1. I made the basic model by making a box-like cube man and then applying a 'subdivide' modifier which smoothed him out to look like this.
2. I had to place bones inside of him just like a normal human has (but alot less), basically some bones for each limb, 2 for each arm, 2 for each leg, 3 up the spine, one for the neck!
3. Then I connected the bones to the actual model, this means now that when i move the bones the model moves with it.
4. Now I make the actual animations themselves. This works in a timeline-like fashion, where you tell a bone to be at a certain position and rotation at a certain period in time and another place and rotation at another period of time, between the two time's (called keyframes) the bone will move & rotate from once place to the other, giving the impression of movement!
5. Then i recorded the gifs and wrote this devlog post, hope you enjoyed!
