Tutorial 1
Here I have imported the barrel models from made in blender with uv mapped textures with baked ambient occlusion.
I applied a rigidbody component to the barrel and made it a prefab, then I duplicated it and pressed play to watch them all fall on eachother.
At first they all fell through the floor, i did not have a collider on the barrel or plane. I added a capsule collider to the barrels but the collisions did not seem natural, so i have instead used a mesh collider with convex set to true, now the barrel collisions seem much more realisted and it looks quite good!
Learning more about uv mapping and how to bake ambient occlusion was great.
In the images you can see me playing with bevel and smoothing, the way this looks on the lighthouse reminds me alot of HL2's aesthetic.
I made a scene with lots of objects and models I have made myself. it is mostly objects that I deem 'futuristic' looking for a really small project that i started and didnt finish, mostly because i'm really pathetic at that kind of thing and also because mid-year holidays are really short, especially if you have an exam on the last day of exam period.
